Unfortunately, this is one of those sets that suffers from Blizzard’s tendency to display the same armour differently on different genders. For reasons known only to Blizz’s art department — if Wowhead is to be trusted, anyway, as I haven’t had the chance to check this out in game — these pants display as solid green on male toons.

This look is a hybrid of three sets: Reinforced Sapphirium Battlearmor (Lookalike), Glorious Plate (Recolor) and Battleplate of Radiant Glory (Lookalike).

Cathedral is my clothes horse, so far as my small army of alts is considered. Here’s what she’s wearing at the moment.

Notes

The farther we get from Cataclysm, Pauldrons of Edward the Odd are going to become harder and harder to find. If they aren’t currently available on your Auction House, the clone Burden of Morality drops from Chimaeron in Blackwing Descent. Meanwhile, Paladins with a Mantle of the Forlorn Conqueror token can purchase Reinforced Sapphirium Mantle from the Legacy Justice Quartermaster.

For a slightly different look, consider the Blinding Girdle of Truth (purchased from the Valor Quartermaster for 1,650 JP) instead.

Serpentshrine Cavern

For the Fathom-Lord Karathress encounter, Cataclysmic Bolt now deals 10% of the target’s maximum health plus 500 damage, down from 50% of target’s maximum health, the stun effect is now a Stun mechanic, and can target any player instead of only characters with mana.

Lady Vashj

Coilfang Strider’s Panic ability now activates every 4 seconds, up from every 2 seconds.

Shock Blast’s stun effect is now a Stun mechanic.

Tainted Elementals now despawn after 20 seconds, up from 15 seconds.

Tempest Keep

For the High Astromancer Solarian encounter, Nether Scryer’s Domination spell now has a 2 second cast time, up from instant cast, and can be silenced.

For the Void Reaver encounter, the radius for Arcane Orb has been reduced to 15 yards, down from 20 yards.

Okay, so I actually punched the air when I read this. I end up soloing a lot of old raids in the name of transmog gear and the two Serpentshrine Cavern bosses listed above were always the ones that gave me trouble. As a ret paladin, Fathom-Lord Karathress’s mana-targeting Cataclysmic Bolt ability was basically insurmountable and those Coilfang Striders…

Well, let’s just say I’m looking forward to an extra couple of seconds to smash them in the face.

Obviously, this is the PTR, so there’s no guarantee these changes will make it to live servers, but consider my fingers crossed.

Notes

The White Tiger Shoulderguards, though not strictly a raid drop themselves, can be purchased with a Shoulders of the Shadowy Conqueror token that drops from Lei Shi in Terrace of Endless Spring.

If you’ve already completed the Whelps of Wyrmcult quest, there’s always a chance that someone on your server can craft Enchanted Thorium Leggings. The pattern is no longer available in game, so you won’t be able to learn it yourself, but if you advertise in trade you may be able to convince an experienced blacksmith to help you out. If you’re having difficulty, roll a Level 1 alt with the opposing faction and advertise there, too.

Although the Scryers Tabard only costs a princely sum of 1g, you have to be exalted with the Scryers to both buy and equip it. Should you switch allegiance to Aldor, you’ll find yourself looking at a “You don’t have the required reputation for that item” warning.

This gorgeous robe is, in my opinion, the sexiest red (okay, okay, the case could be made for blood orange) dress in the game. Unfortunately, it’s also incredibly rare, so if you’re at all interested and you see a Sanguine Robe for sale on your server for a reasonable price, buy it. You’ll thank me later.

Your guess is as good as mine as to why the Wowhead page for Einhorn’s Galoshes displays 21 pairs of gloves under the “Same Model As” tab.
