Feeling disaffected with your government? Tired of envying your fat cat neighbour’s plush new cardboard box to sleep in or choking down your mama’s homemade dirt-and-stringy-coyote-hair pie? Come to the Deadmines, where drifters and deadbeats and layabouts are forged into lean, mean, drifting and deadbeating and layabouting machines.

Can’t find a job because the fields are bare and the guards at Sentinel Hill don’t like the way you smell? The Defias Brotherhood offers ample training opportunities to its members in the lucrative fields of thieving, stabbing, and general rabble-rousing, all for the low, low cost of being slaughtered indiscriminately by rampaging hordes of low-level Alliance adventurers.

So far as this leather transmog is concerned, it’s “bring-your-own-bandana,” though. Do we look like we’re made of money?

Have you ever seen that movie, the one with the muscular, bronzed Adonis decked in animal skins, an enchanted sword at his side and a cadre of tamed attack dinosaurs at his back? You probably haven’t, because it is awful and also I made it up, but if you had, you’d know the main character dressed something like this.

It’s a little bit gladiator and a little bit walking fashion disaster. It’s the second of my series of transmog sets intended to be skimpy on both male and female toons and is a great choice if you’re the sort of person who likes wrestling dragons with your bare hands.

Okay, so this set breaks a few of my rules (a number of pieces are from the same set), but it’s for a good cause. I’ve wanted a solid leather transmog for my archeologist-slash-adventurer rogue alt for a while now and this combines regular clothes and mysterious swirling relics in a way that appeals to me greatly. She feels like a treasure hunter, with a simple dagger at her side and a morally ambiguous relationship with the law when it comes to historical site desecration.

I mean, *she even has the hat.*

You know, the Horde get a lot of love on this blog, which is understandable because the Horde is awesome, but I was talking to a guy yesterday and he mentioned there’s this whole other faction out there. Apparently they like, uh, lion motifs and the colour blue and, uh, their king looks a bit like Bruce Campbell? I don’t know. They seem cool.

So, to all you Alliance-heads out there. Uh, what do you call yourselves? Alliance-rs? Alliance-istas?

First of all, who discards perfectly good entrails?

This is a bit of a departure from my usual aesthetic, but I don’t care. Those shoulders are fantastic. Seriously, take a minute and watch their animation on Wowhead.

We’re talking surprise shoulder tentacles, people. The best kind.

And this is one of the few sets I’ve done where I actually prefer it on an undead model. Apparently, it’s at its best with a few chunks torn out of it.
